Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Elderly and Disabled Care
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last for two years, specifically aims to improve the quality of life for the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European Union funds.
Planned activities and objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project intends to promote social integration and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for encounter and solidarity among citizens.
The role of institutions and associations
The municipal Administration has committed itself to supporting the initiatives, providing oversight and coordination services among the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.
