Cornuda Social Support Initiative Aims to Improve Vulnerable Citizens’ Lives
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by several representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last for two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of senior citizens and disabled residents in the municipality. The total funds allocated for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and community funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Additionally, social transportation will be strengthened, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project seeks to promote social inclusion and enhance the quality of life of the involved individuals, also fostering opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting these initiatives by providing oversight and coordination services among the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at safeguarding and improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable populations.
