Cornuda Social Support Project Launch: Enhancing Elderly and Disabled Lives
Cornuda Convention
On June 9, 1996, a convention took place at the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of the local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the Municipality. The total funds allocated for the implementation of the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the people involved, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.
Role of Institutions and Associations
The municipal administration has expressed its commitment to support the initiatives by providing oversight and coordination services among the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the most vulnerable individuals.
