Cornuda Social Support Project to Aid Vulnerable Groups

Cornuda Agreement

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved several representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the Municipality. The total allocated funds for the implementation of the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed by regional and European funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the people involved, creating opportunities for meetings and solidarity among citizens.

Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.

Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at protecting and improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable individuals.
