Brescia and Franciacorta Kick Off 2026 Tourist Season with Booking Surge

Easter 2026 marked the start of the tourist season in Brescia, with overall positive signs including increased bookings and a preference for local stays. Industry representatives, such as Confesercenti Lombardia Orientale’s Barbara Quaresmini and Assohotel’s Giuseppe Caccamo, reported a favorable trend in hotel occupancy, boosted by improved weather forecasts and last-minute reservations in Brescia, Franciacorta, and the lakeside area.

Bookings are rising across Brescia and its lake districts, with Brescia city experiencing notable growth compared to last year. However, a slowdown in organized foreign tourism has been observed, leading to a redistribution of tourist flows towards Italy and reprogramming of travel plans, according to Confesercenti Lombardia Orientale’s Stefano Boni.
