Lake Garda mourns the passing of Helena Halm, widow of Chincherini, who died at the age of 83. The funeral will take place tomorrow, September 14, at 11 AM in the parish church of Limone. Helena was an important benefactor and the heart of the Germano Chincherini Foundation – Onlus, established in 2001 to honor the memory of her husband, the founder of the Parc Hotels Italia hotel chain. Under her leadership, the foundation funded social and humanitarian projects in various parts of the world, with a particular focus on children’s rights and support for minors and individuals with disabilities.
Remembered fondly by those who knew her, Helena Halm made a significant impact on the local community of Salò through the Caffè di Più, which provides job opportunities for young people with disabilities. Her dedication to charitable works and her quiet efforts continued after her husband’s death, leaving an indelible legacy not only in Garda but also in humanitarian projects in Africa and assistance for the elderly in Italy.
