Giulio Tonincelli’s Sunday Premieres Worldwide at Dresden Film Festival, Streams on RaiPlay in April
Giulio Tonincelli’s short documentary film “Sunday” will premiere internationally at the FilmFest Dresden from April 14-19. The film, shot in 2024 and supported by Moonwalk and MessUp, portrays the daily life of 14-year-old Ayoo Sunday, a girl with cognitive and physical disabilities living in rural northern Uganda. It will also be available on RaiPlay throughout April, following its selection at the Tulipani di Seta Nera International Social Cinema Festival.
The project features cinematography by Vladimir Motroi, sound design by Stefano Greco, and editing by Tonincelli himself. The film’s production was funded through a crowdfunding campaign; its world premiere occurred on October 18, 2025, at Alice in Città’s Out of Competition section.
