Police Thwart E-Bike Theft in Bardolino, Make Two Arrests and Conduct Raids

Two Italian men, aged 28 and 37, were arrested in Bardolino after being caught attempting to steal two e-bikes on April 9. Carabinieri intervened after observing the pair cutting chains with bolt cutters and dragging the bikes into a public garden, recovering the stolen property.

The suspects, both known to authorities, were found with tools typically used for theft. They were detained in Peschiera del Garda and Villafranca di Verona, and during a hearing on April 10, the 28-year-old was released under the obligation to sign, while the 37-year-old was placed in custody. The incident is part of ongoing efforts to increase territorial control ahead of the summer season.
