Garda Restrictions for Granfondo Colnago and Marathon Sunday Morning
On Sunday morning, traffic restrictions will be in place across Lake Garda due to the Granfondo Colnago Cycling Festival and Lake Garda 42 marathon. The cycling event, featuring 5,000 participants, starts at 7:30 a.m. from Desenzano, while the marathon will also impact road access in the area, affecting towns including Salò, Gardone Riviera, Toscolano Maderno, Gargnano, and others.
Traffic closures will last from early morning until early afternoon, with limited access granted only to emergency vehicles and according to race officials’ schedules. Notably, the Salò-Gargnano route is heavily affected, with estimated passage times between 8:05 and 9:24 a.m., and the SP9 Valvestino closed approximately from 8:45 to 10:16 a.m. Additionally, the SS45 bis between Limone and Riva will be closed from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., along with the suspension of the Limone pedestrian bridge during the same period.
