Cornuda Launches Social Support Project for Vulnerable Groups in 1996
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for signing a project to support the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association (associazione di quartiere), and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which will last for two years, aims primarily to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and community funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the categories most in need. Social transport services will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
