Cornuda Social Support Project Aims to Improve Vulnerable Residents’ Lives

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the effort, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

Goals and Funding

The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need. Social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
