Cornuda Social Inclusion Project Launches with Regional Funding
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention for signing a project in favor of the most vulnerable social groups took place in the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteering organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which will last two years, aims primarily to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need. Social transport services will be enhanced, and listening and meeting centers will be established.
