Community Collaboration Supports Vulnerable Groups in Cornuda
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various voluntary organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which will last two years, aims specifically to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.
Purpose and Social Inclusion
The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of those involved, also creating moments of encounter and solidarity among citizens.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
The municipal administration has committed itself to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.
