Police Crack Down on Bike Theft Ring in Bardolino, Apprehend Two Notorious Suspects

Two suspects were arrested in Bardolino for allegedly stealing two e-bikes valued at approximately €9,000. The arrests occurred on April 12 when Carabinieri spotted the individuals acting suspiciously near a parking lot on Passeggiata Rivalunga, leading to the recovery of the stolen bikes and tools used for lock tampering.

The 34-year-old Moldovan and 28-year-old Italian, both known to authorities, were detained and later presented before the Verona court. The judge validated the arrest, ordered a stay of proceedings until May 2026 for defense preparations, and imposed a mandatory police reporting requirement on both individuals.
