Bardolino Marks a Decade of Tulipanomania with 50,000 Blooming Tulips

Bardolino celebrates the tenth anniversary of Tulipanomania, a spring event that has become a key element of the area’s identity. The 2026 edition features over 50,000 blooming tulips along the lakeside and in various parts of the town, transforming the area into a large, colorful garden. The event is a collaboration between the Municipality of Bardolino and Parco Giardino Sigurtà, which supplied around 30,000 tulips for the display.

The event has gained international recognition, combining tourism, green culture, and local promotion. The 2026 edition coincided with Easter holidays, enhancing its appeal. The landscape design, led by Count Giuseppe Inga Sigurtà, emphasizes a selection of tulip varieties such as Holland Queen and Dutch Romance to ensure a harmonious bloom. Community involvement is also a focus, with local children participating in planting, and environmental sustainability highlighted by local officials. The event promotes Bardolino as a tourist destination and features a photography contest, with winners announced during the Palio del Chiaretto on June 5, 2026.
