Lost items on Lake Garda: an unexpected treasure
In recent months, the lost property offices of the municipalities around Lake Garda have accumulated a wide variety of lost items, including keys, mobile phones, wallets, and even stolen bicycles. Among the most curious discoveries are a damaged drone found in Bardolino and a wheelchair left behind in the Europa parking lot in Garda. However, what is most surprising is the substantial amounts of money that have been uncovered: just recently, three significant finds were reported in the area between Garda, Bardolino, and Castelnuovo.
In particular, a Moroccan citizen discovered 2,600 euros in an envelope in the parking lot of a supermarket in Castelnuovo, while an honest citizen from Garda handed over a bag containing 3,000 euros to the local police. The record belongs to Bardolino, where an elderly Austrian couple returned 15,600 euros found in front of a real estate agency. These discoveries raise questions about potential untraceable payments, as no one seems to have reported the loss of such substantial sums.
