Sirmione Draws 48,000 Visitors During Easter Weekend Under Sirmione 2026 Initiative

Sirmione’s large-scale test of the “Sirmione 2026” pedestrianization and flow management plan during Easter weekend ended successfully, with a 76% increase in visitors compared to 2025. Approximately 47,956 visitors were estimated to have been present, with the highest influx on Easter Sunday, when over 17,200 people attended.

The coordinated measures, including guided pathways, integrated mobility solutions, and traffic restrictions, ensured smooth and safe visitor flows. Local authorities, led by Mayor Luisa Lavelli, confirmed the positive results and announced plans to further refine the management system as part of the broader “Sirmione 2030” project, aiming for sustainable tourism and territory preservation.
