Lombardy Launches Funding Program to Support Historic Businesses Through 2026
The Lombardy Regional Government has approved a new funding call, “Historic Enterprises Towards 2026,” aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) engaged in restoration, conservation, and development of historic assets. The initiative offers grants covering up to 50% of eligible expenses, with a maximum of €30,000 and a minimum investment of €5,000, with applications submitted online via Unioncamere Lombardia.
This measure complements previous programs from 2022 to 2025, which supported 1,412 businesses with €25 million in funding, resulting in €50 million in territorial investments. The 2026 call targets enterprises involved in preserving historic sites, signage, furnishings, and promoting historical trade routes and generational transitions. Funding is allocated through a merit-based evaluation process.
