Car Overturns on SP236 in Montichiari as Driver Tests Positive for Alcohol

A multi-vehicle collision occurred this morning around 8:00 on SP236 in Montichiari involving a truck and two cars. The incident was triggered when a car heading towards Brescia crossed into the opposite lane, hitting the truck and a second vehicle; the truck driver tested positive for alcohol with a blood alcohol level of 0.97 g/l.

The truck driver, a 40-year-old man, was unharmed but was subjected to an alcohol test and had his license suspended, with a 10-point deduction and a referral to judicial authorities for driving under the influence. The drivers and passengers of the cars were transported to hospital as a precaution, and the road was reopened at 12:20 after scene clearance and safety measures.
