The Lombardy Region has allocated over 2 million euros to support 103 historical businesses in the province of Brescia, as part of a total investment of 11.3 million euros aimed at 620 Lombard enterprises. This funding is targeted at shops and establishments that have been active for at least 40 years and aims to co-finance restoration projects, service development, and the enhancement of historical sites through the ‘Historic Businesses Towards the Future 2024’ call for proposals, promoted by the regional assessor for Economic Development, Guido Guidesi.
The non-repayable grant can cover up to 50% of eligible expenses, with a maximum of 30,000 euros for projects that require a minimum investment of 5,000 euros. In addition to this call for proposals, the Region has launched a series of initiatives to promote historical activities, including a traveling award ceremony for the conferral of an identifying brand in collaboration with the Chambers of Commerce. The next events will take place in Cremona and Lodi on October 21 and 23, respectively.
