Castiglione Hosts Free Children’s Workshops in May at Menghini Gallery

Two free children’s art workshops for ages 5 to 10 will be held in May 2026 at the Galleria Menghini in Castiglione delle Stiviere, linking art and culture with local events such as the Pietro Beschi exhibition and the Mille Miglia race.

The first workshop, “The Garden of Wonders,” is scheduled for Saturday, 9 May 2026, from 15:30 to 17:00 at Palazzo Menghini (Via Cesare Battisti 27). It will teach mosaic techniques and produce artworks inspired by the Beschi show, with a maximum of 20 participants and reservations recommended. The second session, “Fast as the Wind! Waiting for the World’s Most Beautiful Race,” will take place on Saturday, 16 May 2026, 15:30–17:00 at the same venue, focusing on making cardboard toy cars in preparation for Mille Miglia in June; participation is free and limited to 20 children with mandatory reservations.

City officials emphasize the program as part of a broader cultural and tourist strategy for the town. Culture Councillor Massimo Lucchetti notes these labs bring children into art and culture, while Mayor Enrico Volpi highlights how the activities connect the gallery, Beschi’s exhibition, and a high-profile event like Mille Miglia. Participation is free but requires reservation through Infopoint at 0376 944061 or infopoint@comune.castiglione.mn.it. The workshops will be held at the Galleria d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Palazzo Menghini, 27 Via Cesare Battisti.
