New Management Takes Over Bar Caffi in Salò to Preserve Tradition
The Bar Caffi on Salò’s lakeside has recently changed hands. The historic establishment, born and long run by the Vassalli family and celebrated by master gelato maker Bruno Caffi with Renato Caffi and Donata Manenti, has been entrusted to the Bortolotti family, who take over with the aim of preserving its artisanal tradition while adopting a new management approach.
Andrea Maggioni, President of the local Merchants Association and Confesercenti coordinator, said Salò remains central for commerce and tourism, noting the town has 247 active businesses and that demand for premises in the historic center and tourist footfall in shops and bars are indicators of the area’s economic vitality.
