Brenzone to Host Luca Avesani Trophy for Protagonist 7.50 Class on Short-Series Circuit
The Luca Avesani Trophy, a stage of the Protagonist 7.50 class and the short series circuit, returns to Brenzone on the first weekend of May, renewing the sport-memorial link with ITA 58 “Luca,” skippered by Luca Avesani’s father in memory of Luca Avesani, who competed in the 2010 National Championship with Luca Modena at the helm.
The races will be held Saturday, May 2, and Sunday, with the first warning signal at 13:00 on Saturday. The course will be set on the water in front of Castelletto di Brenzone, between Brenzone and the Brescia shore to take advantage of the Ora wind. Up to five races are planned (no more than three per day); the trophy also counts as a round of the short series. After Saturday’s racing, the tortellinata offered by the Avesani family and the organizing club, and the prize-giving will take place Sunday after racing.
