Arco Sailing Club’s OpenSkiff Youth Dinghy Shines at National Regatta in Marina di Campo

The FIV OpenSkiff youth team from Circolo Vela Arco delivered a strong showing at the 2026 FIV OpenSkiff National Regatta, staged by Club del Mare in Marina di Campo, Elba. The three-day event featured 10 races with two discards, and wind conditions shifted from medium-strong on day one to lighter breezes on the following days.

In Under-17, Aurora Milanese topped the girls’ standings and finished 2nd overall, aided by two race wins and a black-flag disqualification in the last race that was discarded. On the boys’ side, Radbevicius Garudis Nolandas took 2nd place, while Leonardo Vicari finished 4th; Sofia Benetti was 4th among the girls, with Patrick Stelma-Svicki also competing. In Under-13, Gabriele Lizzulli won, Barnabás Karoli Tertak was second, and Sergio Pasini finished third after a late, decisive move just after the start. Alessandro Travaglia was 7th, Julia Francalancia secured 3rd female but suffered a premature start and withdrew from the last race, Alessandro Tomasi finished just outside the top ten, and Laura Amort earned solid partials despite two discarded starts. The team was coached by Ausra Mileviciute and overseen by sporting director Michele Giorgini.
