Servaas Neijens Travels to Brescia to Promote UNESCO Sites and Longobard Heritage

Servaas Neijens, editor-in-chief of National Geographic Historia Olanda, arrived in Brescia for a four-day press tour focused on Brescia’s UNESCO sites. During this week’s visit, he will tour Brixia, the archaeological park with the Capitol Temple and the Roman Theatre, and the Lombard complex “Longobardi in Italia: i luoghi del potere,” with planned stops at Piazza Paolo VI, Piazza della Loggia, Duomo Vecchio, Duomo Nuovo, Basilica di San Salvatore, and the Oratorio di Santa Maria in Solario.

The initiative, organized with the City’s Film Commission, Fondazione Brescia Musei, and Visit Brescia, also includes reconnaissance visits to Palazzo Broletto, Palazzo Loggia, Torrione INA, Museo di Santa Giulia, and Museo delle Armi Luigi Marzoli within the Castello perimeter. The programme features two Garda stops at Desenzano (Villa Romana) and Sirmione (Grotte di Catullo) and will document the sites for the Dutch edition of the magazine, with a print run of 42,500 copies.
