Castelnuovo del Garda Launches South Garda Bike Region Project and Opening Ride on Graspo del Moro
On Wednesday May 6, in the Sala Rossa of the Palazzo Scaligero, the South Garda Bike Region project was unveiled to promote Castelnuovo del Garda and the southern Garda area as a cycling destination, with emphasis on the Graspo del Moro historical route and the Opening Ride planned for May 17. The event was attended by Mayor Davide Sandrini, Councillor for Tourism Promotion Elena Tenero, Councillor for Cycling and Pedestrian Paths Tommaso Residori, and Carolina Diana Rossi of Cadiro Studio.
The official Opening Ride on May 17 will feature two free routes of 22 km and 37 km on the Graspo del Moro track, suitable for gravel, MTB and e‑bikes. As part of the project, mapping has been updated with more than 170 signs and 4 information panels with QR codes for digital content, and networking activities are planned to connect hospitality providers, wineries and local artisans.
