Salò Firefighters Quell First-Floor Blaze
A fire broke out in an apartment on the first floor of a Salò residential building on Friday night, May 8, with alarms around 21:50 as the Provincial Fire Operations Center dispatched local crews.
Two water-tender pumpers (APS) with permanent and volunteer personnel, supported by a pump tanker (ABP), arrived and firefighters began search-and-rescue operations to verify occupants. The scene then focused on extinguishment and securing the area; 118 medical staff with an ambulance and a medical vehicle, along with the local police for traffic control and investigations, also attended. One person was transported to hospital for smoke inhalation, their condition not serious, and operations concluded around 23:30; the cause is under investigation.
