Garda Karate Team Competes at Italian Under-21 Karate Championships in Ostia; Lisa Maffizzoli Reflects on Her Experience
The Italian Under-21 Karate Championships were held from May 8-10, 2026 at the Centro Olimpico “Matteo Pellicone” in Ostia, with Garda Karate Team competing alongside Lisa Maffizzoli. In her first year in the Under-21 category, Maffizzoli faced more experienced opponents and was eliminated before the finals as the event gathered the country’s top talents on the tatami.
Garda Karate Team described the trip as positive, saying the Ostia experience supplied technical and competitive elements to be integrated into future work. The club emphasized a focus on training and on developing the athlete’s competitive management for upcoming challenges.
