Angilella Wins Fourth Stage of the Felter Grand Prix in StraManerba, Brescia

The StraManerba, the fourth stage of the Gran Prix Felter in the Brescia leg of the Fidal calendar, was held in Manerba on May 10, replacing the 13th Miglia Dannunzio run originally scheduled in Gardone Riera and organized by Gruppo Felter. A total of 1,130 runners started, including 461 competitive athletes, tackling a 9.9 km technical course plus a 4 km recreational variant, despite forecasts of adverse weather.

In the men’s race, Davide Angilella (Vanotti Running Team) won in 32:42, followed by Michele Massetti (Libertas Vallesabbia) in 32:48 and Daniele Pini (Rodengo Saiano Mico) in 32:56. Enrico Vecchi, the Italian cross-country athlete, competed as part of a training session for the 3,000 m steeplechase. In the women’s race, Angela Girelli (Gavardo 90) took the title in 38:08, with Elisa Battistoni at 38:48 and Silvia Casella at 39:20.

Team standings saw Atletica Gavardo 90 first, Libertas Vallesabbia second, F.O.Running Team third, Brescia Marathon fourth, and Gruppo Felter fifth. The event also welcomed Laura Mattia, the Manerba municipal councillor for youth policies.
