Canine Teams Take Part in Joint Missing-Person Search Drill in Casto, Brescia
A joint search-and-rescue canine exercise will take place on Saturday, May 16 in Valle Duppo, Casto (BS), organized by Gruppo Comunale Moniga del Garda Cinofili and ODV Cinofila di Lumezzane to test canine units and their handlers through high-complexity simulations.
The exercise aims to evaluate capabilities in a forested, hilly area with unknown scenarios, including locating missing persons amid environmental interference, disturbed tracks, and simultaneous operations by multiple teams. Schedule: briefing at 8:30, simulations starting at 9:00, rotations at 11:30, lunch at 13:00, resumption at 14:00, end of searches at 16:30, and final technical debrief at 17:00. Organizers also expect informal participation from local municipal authorities.
