Gentlemen’s Cup in Gargnano Opens as Protagonist 7.50 Regatta Set for May 16–17
Gentlemen’s Cup, a Protagonist 7.50 class regatta organized by Circolo Vela Gargnano on behalf of the Italian Sailing Federation, will be held in Gargnano on May 16-17. The schedule allows up to six races, with a maximum of three per day: Saturday registration from 9:00 to 10:30 and the first race at 13:00; Sunday will feature the final races and prize-giving, with no warning signal after 16:00.
The event is part of the Short Series. Current leader is General Lee, skippered by Patrizia Anele, ahead of Gattone, skippered by Massimiliano Docali, and Yerba3, helmed by the Barzaghi brothers. The fleet includes many owner-skipper helmers and sails a monotype designed by Luigi Badinelli, with technical and regulatory checks carried out by the organizers.
