Garda-area runner Cristian Coletti finished eighth in his age group at the Great Wall Marathon in Huangyaguan, Tianjin, China, marking a notable result in long-distance competition abroad this season. The event, described as a true endurance challenge, tests physical stamina and mental resilience, and Coletti’s placing is among the season’s top overseas performances.

The race takes place in Huangyaguan, Tianjin, with a cap of 2,500 global entrants across three distances: a 42-kilometer marathon, a 21-kilometer half marathon, and an 8.5-kilometer option. The course features 5,164 stone steps along historic ramparts, with irregular heights and steep climbs that demand strong leg strength and balance. Temperatures ranged from 20 to 35 degrees Celsius, influencing performance. The event finishes in Yin and Yang Square, with final age-group results confirming Coletti’s eighth-place finish.
