Illustrated Geographies: International Competition on Garda Trentino’s Territorial Identity

Geografie illustrate, the international illustration contest launched to mark 100 years of Garda Dolomiti, the Garda Trentino tourism company now named Garda Dolomiti Azienda per il turismo SpA, invites illustrators, artists and designers to reinterpret the territory through the tourist poster language and local identity. The call was published on May 8, with entries due by July 18 and a jury session to select winners and finalists scheduled for July 25.

The jury, chaired by Riccardo Guasco and including Francesco Bongiorni, Andrea Gnesato, Oskar Schwazer (director of Apt Garda Dolomiti) and Matteo Rapanà (director of Mag), will award €2,000, €1,200 and €800 to the top three and will select 40 finalist works to be exhibited at the Museo Alto Garda (MAG) in the new wing dedicated to tourism history, with an inauguration and awards ceremony on October 24. Results will be announced by July 30, and the posters must be original, unpublished, in vertical format 70 x 100 cm and print-ready.
