Salò Welcomes Record Registrations for the 9th Salò City Sprint Triathlon
The 9th Triathlon Sprint Città di Salò will take place on Sunday, May 24, in a new Gold format organized by Società Canottieri Garda Salò, featuring 837 entrants — up from 616 in previous editions — including a record 178 women. Athletes are expected from across Italy and countries such as Belgium, Germany, Austria, the United Kingdom, Romania, the United States, Russia, and the Philippines; the event also includes the Coppa delle Zette.
Organizers will deploy over 100 volunteers along the three legs, with support from ANC Valle del Chiese, the Coast Guard, the Guardia di Finanza and the Local Police. The sponsor village opens Saturday at 14:00 in Piazza Serenissima, with Radio Bruno, free yoga sessions, and hourly guided tours from 15:00 to 17:00 ending at Mu.Sa., which offers competitors a free visit. The race starts Sunday at 10:00 with the women’s heats on the 750 m swim leg from Spiaggetta delle Rive in front of Via Pietro da Salò, followed by a 20 km multi‑lap bike section toward San Felice del Benaco via Via Zette, and a 5 km run through the historic center and lakeside. The event is organized by Società Canottieri Garda Salò with support from the municipalities of Salò and San Felice del Benaco, Regione Lombardia, and various sponsors.
