Valtènesi in Rosé: Three Rosé Tastings at Moniga Castle
Valtènesi in Rosa returns as Italy’s national festival dedicated exclusively to Valtènesi rosé, taking place at the medieval Castle of Moniga del Garda on Friday 22, Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 May, from 18:30 to 23:00. The three evenings feature mindful tastings with over 100 labels, plus food areas with local specialties and opportunities to meet the producers.
Ahead of the weekend, a kickoff conference will be held on Friday 22 May at 17:00 at Villa Brunati Bertanzi titled “Valtènesi in rosa: 130 years from the birth of the Molmenti method,” followed by a guided tasting led by Artur Vaso of the finalists for the Trofeo Molmenti, which will award the best rosé. The event is organized by the Consorzio Valtènesi, the historic body uniting 102 producers officially recognized as a subzone since 2010, established in 1896 with Senator Molmenti.
