Three Crime Writers Face Off at Gargnano Reads Festival

Gardas culture scene expands with a new crime-fiction focused event, part of the 2026 book fair. The Gargnano edition of the Gardesana program presents “Gargnano that reads” with a session titled “Giallisti a confronto,” featuring three regional genre writers: Enrico Giustacchini (Il giudice Albertano e il caso del serpente stravagante), Enrico Mirani (Il Brigadiere del Carmine e la Mille Miglia. Brescia, 1927), and Fabrizio Senici (Il freddo in faccia, with a foreword by Paolo Corsini). The discussion, moderated by Marcello Zane, will explore the works’ themes and narrative techniques in crime fiction.

The roundtable is scheduled for Sunday, May 31, at 5:00 PM, at the Chiostro di San Francesco in Gargnano, on Lake Garda. It is organized and sponsored by the Comune di Gargnano’s Culture Department in collaboration with Liberedizioni. Access is free, with seating allocated on a first-come basis up to the venue’s capacity.
