Culture Takes Center Stage at Toscolano-Maderno’s Paper Museum
Taste of Culture will take place on June 15, 2026 at the Museo della Carta in Toscolano Maderno, uniting the centuries‑long Gardesana paper heritage with the region’s enogastronomic and cultural offerings around Lake Garda.
The Museo della Carta, situated in the Valle delle Cartiere, sits on a site where since the 14th century the San Michele stream powered paper mills that supplied much of Europe. The event offers an experiential route through museum spaces—featuring ancient vats, tools, and original machinery—and a tasting of typical Garda products, appealing to both history enthusiasts and visitors seeking authentic local experiences. The initiative sits within the museum’s seasonal opening period.
