Valle Sabbia’s Strabilio Festival Brings Contemporary Circus to 16 Italian Towns
The Strabilio Festival, Valle Sabbia’s contemporary circus event, returns for its fifth edition from 20 June to 29 August 2026, spanning 16 municipalities with a program of 27 free-entry events. Artists from five continents are set to perform, including national premieres SpinSane by the Finnish company The Race Horse Company and the Belgian duo Bert&Fred, across venues in towns such as Villanuova sul Clisi, Gavardo, Roè Volciano, Sabbio Chiese, Barghe, Casto, Pertica Alta, Anfo, Salò, Padenghe, Bedizzole, Preseglie, Vallio Terme, Soiano, Toscolano Maderno and Gargnano.
The program begins on 20 June in Piazza Roma, Villanuova sul Clisi with Super Acrobatas (Cho Kairin). Highlights include Hot&Cold trapeze by Wise Fools (22–23 June in Bedizzole and Toscolano Maderno), SpinSane’s Wheel of Death (13–14 and 16 July in Gargnano, Padenghe and Roè Volciano), and the closing KOSTÜM by Trio Les Triphasés (28–29 August in Gargnano and Villanuova). The festival also offers clowning acts, free workshops for children aged 6–13 with mandatory registration via municipal libraries, a new festival visual identity, and the reintroduction of the FAN Card to reward participation.
