Lonato del Garda Town Council Installs New Administration and Appoints Members
The first session of the Lonato del Garda City Council was held on a Saturday morning in June, following the May 24-25, 2026 consultations that elected Nicola Bianchi as mayor. The meeting carried out the standard formalities, including validation of the elected, the mayor’s oath, and the communication of the composition of the municipal cabinet, which includes some confirmations and new appointments.
The municipal cabinet comprises Giuseppe Borgese as Deputy Mayor (Public Education – Sport), Christian Simonetti (Public Works and Maintenance – Ecology and Environment – Agriculture), Silvia Razzi (Tourism – Culture – Events – Territorial Marketing), Davide Bollani (Budget and Assets – Technological Innovation – Smart City) and Simona Marai (Social Services – Early Childhood); the mayor retains any additional matter not delegated. The council, presided by Oscar Papa (elected President), includes 11 majority and 5 minority members, with group leaders named: Fulvio Cipriani (Fratelli d’Italia), Monica Zilioli (Lega), Oscar Papa (Noi Con Lonato del Garda – Noi Moderati), Roberto Tardani (Forza Italia), Davide Sigurtà (Democratic Party), Lorenzo Lancini (Onda Civica) and Daniela Carassai (Lonato Insieme). The session also elected the Municipal Electoral Commission and appointed members for updating the lists of Popular Judges.
