New Nago–Torbole Bike Path Opens, Funded by PNRR Money
A new cycle path was inaugurated on Monday, 15 June, connecting the roundabout on the SS240 in Nago to the plain near Torbole, where it links to the Ciclovia dei Laghi along the Sarca River. The project, built by reusing existing routes, enables a direct connection to Torbole for cyclists, walkers and commuting between home, school and work. The ceremony was attended by Province President Maurizio Fugatti.
The route runs for just over 2 km and includes a pedestrian path on the upstream side, as well as a tunnel with an underpass built using prefabricated box sections and rock excavation for a total length of about 60 m. It features three hairpin turns to meet standard gradient requirements and was financed at a cost of €3,686,096.81, with part of the funding covered by the PNRR. Daily maintenance will be handled by Sova.
