Solferino Joins the Garda Community in Official Move Announced Today

Solferino has officially joined the Community of the Garda, the organization announced today in a formal statement, confirming the municipality’s entry and its involvement in the Community’s bodies and activities. The move includes the participation of Solferino’s local administration alongside the Community’s leadership, headed by Senator Mariastella Gelmini.

Gelmini described the admission as a “political-administrative project that is strengthened,” outlining cooperation goals across infrastructure, tourism, environmental sustainability, economic attractiveness, and access to European funding. The Community also said it aims to promote a shared institutional representation to coordinate the actions of the member municipalities.
