Salò Signs Framework Agreement for Integrated Mobility Between Lake Garda and TAV

An agreement was signed in Salò to launch an “Integrated and Sustainable Mobility Plan” for the Garda area, promoted by the Garda Community together with the provinces of Brescia and Verona, the Autonomous Province of Trento, and the universities of Brescia and Padua. The framework sets out a coordinated process to address mobility across the territory, including priorities such as a TAV/High-Speed rail stop and better integration between public transport, lake connections, and road links.

The plan will define activities for data collection and analysis, identify infrastructure priorities, and establish how to integrate public and private mobility, cycling routes, accessibility measures, and actions aimed at reducing congestion and emissions. Institutional representatives, including Garda Community president Mariastella Gelmini, said the next operational phases will be guided by shared technical studies and scenarios to inform interventions on bridges, roads, lake transport connections, and the future TAV station.
