Rigoletto at Rocca di Lonato July 22 With La Bottega della Lirica

**“Rigoletto” di Giuseppe Verdi will be staged on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 9:00 pm at the Rocca of Lonato del Garda.** The production is promoted by the Lonato-based association *La Bottega della Lirica* in collaboration with the municipal administration, bringing the opera to the historic complex with a version designed for outdoor performances. The event is part of Lonato del Garda’s summer cultural calendar.

The evening will feature Verdi’s opera with the libretto by Francesco Maria Piave, aiming to combine music, landscape and local heritage. It will be the third opera event organized on the territory by *La Bottega della Lirica*, with artistic direction by **Anna Brandolini**. **Roberto Scandiuzzi** is in charge of the staging, while Brandolini will conduct the **Orchestra Garda Sinfonietta**. Baritone **Luca Bruno** will sing the role of Rigoletto, with performers selected through the **“Lonato del Garda all’Opera” International Lyrical Competition** and auditions held in May; the cast is completed by the **Coro Lirico Bresciano “G. Verdi”** (directed by Edmondo Savio) and the **Lonato del Garda Musical Corps**.

In case of bad weather, the performance will be rescheduled to **Thursday, July 23, 2026 at 9:00 pm**, in the same venue. Tourism and culture councillor **Silvia Razzi** said the Rocca setting strengthens the city’s summer cultural offer.
