Numen Aquarum Docufilm on Ponale Power Plant and Giancarlo Maroni
Filming has begun on *Numen Aquarum*, the new docufilm by Steel Film Production focused on the Ponale Hydroelectric Power Plant and the architect Giancarlo Maroni, reconstructing the plant’s history and the architectural and symbolic value of its design.
The first day of shooting took place at the Vittoriale degli Italiani, with the crew led by director Gabriele Donati. Among those involved were Giordano Bruno Guerri, president of the Vittoriale degli Italiani Foundation, and historian Maria Luisa Crosina. The documentary follows the story of the Ponale plant’s planning and construction, gradually shifting attention to Maroni, an architect linked to the Vittoriale and Gabriele d’Annunzio.
Production will continue with additional contributions from Raffaella Canovi, Ruggero Morghen and Mauro Grazioli, and support from Denise Valsecchi, Mohamed Kissam, and students from the Camillo Golgi Institute in Brescia, including Alessandro Zani, Lucia Ziliani, Silvia Boffelli and Thomas de Troia.
