Fire Breaks Out in Lonato del Garda Warehouse, Firefighters Respond

A large fire broke out in an industrial warehouse in Lonato del Garda on Sunday, July 12, with the alarm raised at around 14:30. The blaze hit a facility that processes paper and plastic, prompting an immediate response from firefighters.

Fire crews from the Province of Brescia and the central command were deployed, supported by reinforcements from nearby provinces. More than 35 firefighters are currently on site, using four fire engines (autopompa), three water tankers (autobotti), two aerial ladders (autoscale), and a special vehicle from Montichiari airport, along with two volumetric tankers carrying over 20,000 litres of water each. Firefighting and safety operations are ongoing; the cause of the fire and any impact on people have not yet been reported.
