Rehabilitation Prosthetics Retrieved in Garda Area Between Sirmione and Peschiera

A German tourist reported losing two lower-limb prostheses after jumping from a boat that was anchored, and on Friday the “Nucleo sommozzatori” of the Volontari del Garda recovered both devices in the stretch between Sirmione, Peschiera and Lazise. After receiving the exact coordinates, rescuers used sonar to locate the target at around 22 meters deep and, following two descents, retrieved both prostheses, according to Luca Cavallera.

The operation involved divers from the unit, including its head Mauro Fusato, who carried out targeted dives at the sonar-identified spot. The recovery was completed without any injuries to the people involved.
