Three World Records Ignite Apnea Championships in Riva del Garda
Three world records were set on Sunday, July 19, on the second day of the outdoor CMAS apnea championships held in the water off the Port of San Nicolò in Riva del Garda. The event, organized by FIPSAS with ASD Gruppo Sommozzatori Riva, included two Paralympic world records among the overall achievements.
Alessandro Cianfoni reached -62 meters in free immersion, improving the Paralympic world record, while Giancarlo Cosio set a new Paralympic mark of -31 meters in constant weight with equipment. The Polish diver Maria Bobela went to -82 meters in free immersion. Italian absolute titles were also awarded during the same competition.
