Boat Runs Aground on Lower Lake Garda Coast

A rubber dinghy was found beached on the Brescia side of Lake Garda after the latest storm affecting the Benaco coastline, the Salò Coast Guard operations unit reported. The vessel was spotted drifting ashore, likely after an incorrect mooring failed under the pressure of lake currents and bad weather.

The Coast Guard is asking anyone who can identify the boat to contact the Salò operations center so the owner can be traced and the dinghy removed. The incident falls within routine monitoring of the Garda shoreline carried out to ensure navigation safety and protect the lake’s environment.
