Line S32: One Train Connects Lake Garda to Lake Sebino
The planned S32 rail line would connect Peschiera del Garda, Desenzano, Lonato and Brescia with Paratico-Sarnico, with no transfers and scheduled departures every 30 minutes. A partial activation could take place with the timetable change in June 2027, potentially aligned with the opening of the new high-speed/high-capacity line between Brescia Est and Verona, though the date has not been confirmed.
The proposal was presented to the Brescia Provincial Council by Emanuele Moraschini, president of the province. Rete Ferroviaria Italiana is assessing technical requirements and service compatibility, following requests from Lombardy at the 2025 and 2026 working tables and to be defined with Veneto. In the full configuration, the route would include 13 stations, but key issues remain—particularly at Rezzato and Ponte San Marco, which are not currently enabled for passenger service.
