Padenghe Hosts Premiere of Marco Preti’s New Documentary Lux

A new documentary, **“Lux” by Marco Preti**, will premiere on **Friday, July 31 at 9:30 pm** at the **Teatro del Castello in Padenghe sul Garda**. The screening is promoted by the **Municipality of Padenghe sul Garda**, through the **Tourism and Commerce department**, in collaboration with **Visit Padenghe**, **Lago di Garda Lombardia**, and the **Pro Loco of Padenghe sul Garda**. **Admission is free until seats are filled**.

“Lux” is a short, previously unreleased film shot in **5K** using **infrared photography**, later converted to **black and white**. The technique captures light from the electromagnetic spectrum that is invisible to the human eye, producing visual effects that alter how familiar landscapes and environments are perceived. The project also reflects Preti’s personal connection to the area, as he lives in **Padenghe sul Garda** when in Italy, and it builds on his artistic research started in **2020** combining infrared cinematography and painting.

Born in **Brescia**, Preti is a director, director of photography, and screenwriter, with experience ranging from remote environments such as the **Arctic** to jungles and deserts, and work for outlets including **National Geographic**, **RAI**, **ESPN**, **RSI**, **Mediaset**, and **Discovery Channel**. Before filmmaking, he was a professional alpinist and alpine guide, and he has received awards at festivals including **Trento Film Festival**, **Torello Film Festival**, **Mendi Film Festival**, and the **Monte Carlo Film Festival**. He has also published travel books, an autobiography, and graphic novels since **2009**.
